Tierra del Fuego
From cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, we fly south to Ushuaia, the most southerly city in the world. Here we explore the beautiful wilderness of Tierra del Fuego National Park on foot and by boat; a journey that takes us up the Beagle Channel to Redonda Island, a nature lover's paradise.
Cape Horn & Fjords
Ushuaia is the launch point for our 4-day cruise on the purpose-built expedition ship M/V Mare Australis. Designed for comfort and safety in these unpredictable waters, our days are spent making landings by zodiac boats, while the evenings see us enjoying fine local foods and wines in an informal setting. From the infamous waters around Cape Horn, our captain will skilfully pilot us through the spectacular Chilean fjords, past huge glaciers, finally visiting Magdalena Island penguin colony before we disembark in the charming and colourful Punta Arenas.
Torres del Paine
The scenery of Torres del Paine National Park is simply breath-taking and exploring on foot, we hope to spot some of the park's abundant wildlife. Leaving Chile, we drive around Lago Argentino to Los Glaciares National Park where we enjoy views of the mighty Perito Moreno Glacier. Returning to Buenos Aires, there's time to soak up the atmosphere of this lively city.
